Scripture Reading Guide | Day One

WELCOME

Welcome to Day 1 of 5 of our reading plan! Our hope is that through this reading plan, you will develop both a habit and confidence when it comes to studying God’s Word.

If you have questions as you are reading and studying, feel free to reach out via email at info@newriver.church and someone will get back with you.

We also invite you to share what God is teaching you in the comment section of our Facebook and Instagram!

Let’s pray and get started!

Dear God, I believe in your Word. I know that it is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Please speak to me through Your Word today. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, I ask for insight, understanding and wisdom that can only come from You. Father, please show me what You want to show me and lead me to respond how You would have me respond. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

TODAY’S READING

Colossians 3:1-4 (HCSB)

1 So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.

3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.

4 When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
