Scripture Reading Guide | Day Four
WELCOME
Welcome to Day 4 of 5 of our reading plan!
We’re in the homestretch.
Are you feeling more confident? Are you starting to look at how you can make studying God’s Word a daily habit?
Remember, we read the Bible to be changed… not to finish.
If you need to take some extra time on a passage, do it! Take your time, digest it, sit in it, wrestle with it, ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and understanding before moving on to study something else.
As you are studying, feel free to reach out via email at info@newriver.church and someone will get back with you soon.
And don’t forget to share what God is teaching you in the comment section of our Facebook and Instagram!
Let’s pray and get started!
Dear God, I praise Your holy name. Thank you for making me in Your image. As I study Your Word today, please keep me from shame. I repent of any sin in my life that has kept me from operating in the true identity you have given me through Jesus. Show me how to live, forgive, and love others like you do. Amen.

TODAY’S READING
Colossians 3:12-14 (HCSB)
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.
14 Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
