Scripture Reading Guide | Day Five

WELCOME

Welcome to Day 5 of 5 of our reading plan!

Wow, what a week.

It has been such a beautiful thing for our church to begin this year as a unified Body, all reading and studying God’s Word together.

We pray that God has given you a renewed love for His Word and instilled a sense of confidence that will encourage you to keep on going.

In fact, within the next couple of days, we will post another blog for you in case you would like some suggestions of how to continue studying the Bible on your own.

But we’re not done yet, let’s pray and get started with our final study for the week!

Dear God, I am in awe of the power of Your Word. I stand in wonder at Your works and how you have given me everything I need to know You and how to live a life worthy of the calling You’ve place on my life. Help me to make seeking you in scripture a daily discipline. Show me what I need to add or takeaway to make more room for You, so that I can overflow with gratitude and praise for You. You are all that matters. You are all I need. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A - APPLICATION | How can I apply this to my life today? How does this encourage me? How does this challenge me? How does it impact my heart?

R - RESPONSE | How should I respond to this passage? What steps in my life should I take to live out what I just read? Then close in prayer and ask for help from the Holy Spirit.

TODAY’S READING

Colossians 3:15-17 (HCSB)

15 And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
